At just over 220 miles long, starting at Pendennis Point, Falmouth the route closely follows the route of 1805. Riders heads towards Truro, skirt the Dartmoor National Park and onto Exeter. From here riders then head towards the only stretch of road renamed 'The Trafalgar Way' in Axminster, pass the Jurassic coastline and the Hardy Monument before finishing in the cathedral city of Salisbury.

  • Event overview: At just over 220 miles long, starting at Pendennis Point, Falmouth the route closely follows the route of 1805. Riders will pass through the cities, towns and villages of Truro, Fraddon, Bodmin, Minions, Launceston, Okehampton before skirting the Dartmoor National Park and descending into Exeter. From here the ride then heads towards Honiton, Axminster, Bridport, along the Jurassic coastline, past the Hardy Monument, Dorchester, Blandford Forum before finishing in the cathedral city of Salisbury.
  • Use the free of charge bag transfer to Exeter. Please note we do not recommend that high value goods are placed in the back. Using this service is at the owners risk.
  • Age requirement: Age 18+ on or before 15th October 2016

  • Bag/ruck sack transfer to Exeter and then onto Salisbury

What else?

  • As Defiance is an A to B ride, rather than a loop, we advise that riders bring a small lockable kit bag/ruck sack with dry kit in. Riders will have access to this bag at Exeter and Salisbury
  • GPS files of the route, in various formats, will be available to download the week before the event.
  • Should you plan to stay in Falmouth the night before consider visiting here
