• Event name: Team Colossus
• Date: Saturday 15th - 16th July 2017

• Event Type: Team endurance ride (4 riders per team) on open roads, including riding through the night following the same designated route as Britannia, Conqueror and Victory. The ride is just under 500KMs long and riders are required to complete the route within 24 hours.
• Age requirement: Age 18-68 on or before 15^th July 2017
• Minimum average speed requirement: 15 - 17.5 mph over the entire distance. This is on the basis of c3h30mins - 6h30mins of stationary time (Aid Stations, mechanicals etc) across the entire route or c15 - 30minutes at each Aid Station or longer with fewer stops. Serious consideration should be given to a ride strategy and have a plan B due to a mechanical, fatigue, the weather conditions or other factors. Teams can have either a solo or two riders on the route at any one time and may swap riders at the designated rendezvous points at the Aid Stations. The exception to this rule is for the Grand Depart and Grand Arrivée.
• Recommended minimum pre event training requirement: 50 miles in a single ride with hill climbing per rider.
• Event registration: Falmouth*. Ride information packs will be available for collection on Friday 14^th July 2017. There will be ONE rider briefing for all Colossus riders on Friday 14th July 2017, in Falmouth at 19.15*
• Event overview: At just under 500KM long, starting at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth the route broadly follows the route of 1805. Riders will pass through the cities, towns and villages of Truro, Fraddon, Bodmin, Minions, Launceston and Okehampton before passing Dartmoor and descending into the cathedral city of Exeter, Honiton, Axminster - passing along a road renamed The Trafalgar Way in 2005, then onwards to Bridport cycling along the Jurassic Coast, Dorchester and Blandford Forum before passing through the cathedral city of Salisbury, Andover, Overton, Basingstoke, Hartley Wintney, Camberley and Sunningdale before heading into central London via Parliament Square finishing at Admiralty House, Whitehall.

Costs:

• Super Early Bird - Until 30th November 2016 £404.00 per team at £101.00per rider
• Early Bird - Until 31st December 2016 £448.00 per team at £112.00per rider
• Standard - Until 31st March 2017 £492.00 per team at £123.00per rider
• Late Entry - Until 8th July 2017 £520 per team at £130.00 per rider
• Teams can enter with one team member setting the team up and either paying for the entire team or inviting individual team members to log in and pay for their individual entry
• No entries will be taken on the day

What is included:

• Pre ride briefing on Friday 14th July in Falmouth*
• Mechanical support throughout
• Medical support throughout
• Use of all feed stations on the routes of Britannia, Conqueror and Victory. The locations of the feed stations will be advised in the ride information pack and a hot meal will be available at c90 miles and c180 miles
• Sweep vehicle for those who can’t complete the route. Riders will be taken to the next rendezvous location and reunited with their team unless otherwise supported by own team vehicle
• Electronic tracking to allow friends and family to track the progress of the team
• Water proof maps for each section - in case any route signage is missed or removed
• Finishers medal
• Post ride breakfast in London*
• VAT & 6.5% Registration system charge

What else?

• Teams should ensure any Team Vehicle is insured for at least two drivers and be able to transport all team members bikes
• GPS files of the route, in various formats, will be available to download the week before the event.
